HEALTHY HOLIDAY APPLE CRISP

You know what time it is–time to indulge! We’re including this recipe for a scrumptious (but still healthy) Holiday Apple Crisp. This whole-grain dessert is the perfect dish for all your special family get-togethers that you won’t want to miss! Let’s get started!

  • Prep time should be 10 minutes in advance of baking it. Please refrigerate until ready to bake. 
  • Ingredients: Apples, old-fashioned oats, pecans, cinnamon, ground ginger, nutmeg, coconut oil, and maple syrup.
  • Start by peeling and slicing your apples in a bowl before topping them with coconut oil and spices. This includes your cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.
  • Set aside another bowl and ground up your crisp with the oats and pecans. 
  • Set your apples w/ toppings in a baking dish before adding your crisp on top!
  • Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
  • And voila! You have a delicious healthy apple crisp for you and your family to enjoy. You can add in warmed maple syrup on top or, if you really have a sweet tooth, you can add in some vanilla ice cream on top for extra goodness.
