WATERMELON ICE POPS

Because summer is approaching, now’s a great time to present a healthy summer-themed recipe you’re sure to love. 

This month, we’re doing Watermelon Ice Pops! Why? Because when things start to heat up, ice cream and watermelons are the first things that come to mind during the summer! Are you ready? Let’s get started!

For this recipe, you’ll need: 

  • 6 cups cubed seedless watermelon, rind removed
  • 1 to 4 tablespoons of sugar
  • A place to freeze
  • 1 blender
  • 12 three-ounce Ice pop molds and/or plastic cups

STEP 1: Place your watermelon and sugar in your blender. Puree until it is completely liquefied. Make sure to stir your watermelon as necessary so that everything is perfectly blended together. While sugar will definitely add a sense of sweetness and flavoring to your snack, you can also choose to go sugar-free as well.

STEP 2: Take your mixture and carefully pour it into your ice pop molds or plastic cups. Make sure not to spill!

STEP 3: Once you have everything gathered together, take wooden sticks or spoons and carefully insert them into each mold of your mixture. After all, you can’t enjoy good ice cream without something to hold it together! 

STEP 4: Take your molded mixture, along with its sticks, and store them in the freezer for up to 8 hours. Your goal is to make sure it’s frozen solid to give it a nice chill.

STEP 5: Enjoy!
