Jignesh Shah was the President of the Indian Doctors Association of Greater Houston from 2019-2021. Dr. Shah is an accomplished physician, medical educator, and is double board certified. Jignesh has completed his training in Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at the University of Louisville.

Dr. Shah serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine & University of Texas Medical Branch. Few of his past appointments include Chairman of Department of Internal Medicine, Section Chief of Division Of Gastroenterology, Chief of Staff, & Member of the Executive Board of Harris County Medical Society.

Dr. Shah continues to provide pro bono administrative and clinical services to NPOs throughout the country. Dr. Shah has received numerous accolades including Physician Of The Year and Rising Stars in Texas.

Dr. Parin Shah

Dr. Parin Shah is an Emergency Medicine physician. He received his HS Diploma in Iowa, his BS in Chemical Engineering from Illinois Tech in 1997, and his MD degree from Chicago Medical School in 2001. He did his residency in Emergency Medicine in the Bronx, NY. Dr. Shah was an assistant director at Methodist Hospital in the Houston area from 2005 to 2014. In 2014, he started a startup staffing company, e•merge physicians, and became the Medical Director at a boutique hospital in New Braunfels. In 2018, he sold the company to a private equity firm. Among his many ventures, Dr. Shah is also a principal partner and Medical Director at the Laredo Emergency Room as well as McAllen Emergency Room. Dr. Shah and his wife, Mona Shah, have 3 kids. Their favorite hobbies are tennis, golf, skiing and traveling.

Dr. Dimple V. Shah

Dr. Dimple V. Shah is a board certified adult and pediatric allergy, asthma, and immunology specialist and a proud Houstonian.  She was born in Houston and was raised in Sugar Land. She attended undergraduate school at Rice University and was awarded her medical degree at University of Texas at Southwestern Medical Center.  She completed her internal medicine residency and served as a Chief Resident and Assistant Professor of the internal medicine program at University of Texas Medical School in Houston.  She completed her Allergy, Asthma, and Clinical Immunology fellowship at National Jewish Health and University of Colorado Denver. Dr. Shah has presented at national allergy and immunology meetings and holds memberships in local, state, and national allergy and immunology organizations.  She believes that good health begins at home and is looking forward to helping her community with education in preventative care.

Julie Achens

Julie Achens is board certified family nurse practitioner with 15 years of health care experience. She obtained her Master’s degree in family practice from Texas Woman’s University.  She has worked as a nurse leader in various community hospitals in the Houston area and is passionate about serving this community. She is dedicated to improving your health through the prevention of diseases. She believes in educating and helping her patients to achieve better health through lifestyle modifications.

Michelle Lee

Michelle Lee is a Registered Nurse with a passion for making positive changes by helping others improve health and achieve their wellness goals. She has served the surrounding Houston community for over 11 years and has practiced nursing in various specialty units including: medical, orthopedics, obesity, dialysis, rehab, and surgical services. These areas allowed her to obtain a wealth of knowledge for the best patient care during each stage of life.

She recently obtained her certification as a Health and Nutrition Life Coach, combining her nursing and life coaching skills to help individuals obtain health and wellness goals and to manage any challenges faced in achieving one’s best self.    

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, engaging in outdoor activities, maintaining an active lifestyle, and volunteering at her local church.

Lupita Alvarado

Lupita was born and raised in the Houston area, graduating from Eastwood Academy Charter High School. She earned her Medical Assistant certificate from Everest Institute. She has worked in the medical field for 10+ years assisting patients and helping medical staff and physicians.

Paruben has 10 years of experience in critical care, intermediate care, neurology, general surgery, and diagnostic radiology.
